Wedding Invitations simple & stunning

It's getting to be that time of year again...
Love is in the air
People are tying the knot
Here are a few samples of wedding invitations I have made over the past few years.

I made this one or (should I say 80) for my daughter-in-laws' sister

We made a day of it. 

The invitation had three tags, which we ran through the printer 

one was the ceremony, one was the RSVP and the third  hotel accommodation

This was one of my first bulk orders.
My niece and I made 180 of these in one weekend

This was my latest batch.

My nephew is getting married this weekend.

And again with a little help we made 160 of these in two days.

In today`s world of digital this and digital that.  I am finding more and more brides leaning toward creating their own invitations.
I am designing invites for two girls right now.  Here are a few of the samples I gave them to look at.

Remember--my niece's wedding

So, since I am recovering from some minor surgery, that still prevents me from doing much, I have been playing around on Studio J.  Took me a couple of hours to create this layout, but I think it was worth it.


The inspiration came from the layout below.   I loved the idea of all those layers, wrapped around a central focal point.

plus there are still half a dozen other images I could make with just the one key

because I absolutely love it)

This is a very simple card
and can be modified to suit your wedding colors.
The stamp set is retired
However,
A1123 would give you a very similar look.

I have made this card 5x5
for the simple reason that if you cut your cardstock into a 5 x 15 strip
you can score it at 5" & 10" and end up with a side pocket
to tuck your RSVP cards into

I didn't have any "lagoon" colored ribbon
so I made my own
using our color ready seam binding ribbon (z1732)

I simply inked up a sponge dauber (z726)
laid the ribbon on the ink pad
and ran the sponge dauber over it (as shown)
it worked like a charm....and now
I will never run out of the right color of ribbon
