I struggle with Valentine's Day.  The love of my life has been gone for 10 years.  
And my boys are 29 and 30,, so not really wanting a card from mommy.  

My daughter is 16 and does still like receiving a Valentine surprise, 
however  "cute-sy" is not really appropriate for her.  So this is what I came up with

I like it.  

I hope she can see the symbolism...that she will always have a place in my heart.

Sweet Treat

On holidays,
we try to brighten up our residents' day by making their desserts just a little special.

On the back side, I glued a patterned heart.
In hindsight, I wish I would have made it 1/4 larger so the front had a nice layered border.
Oh, well, there is always next year.

Valentine Cards--using Roxie paper

the "ticket" were made using our Art Philosophy Cartrige
rectangle #3--p. 64 set at 1"
I then matted them on a black strip 4 1/4 x 1 1/2
and added another mat in tulip 4 1/4 x 1 3/4
and cut off the tickets that stuck out over the mat
