One of the BEST things about being a CTMH consultant

One of the BEST things about being a CTMH consultant is gathering with other consultants.  I love attending CTMH events, whether it is a local team meeting at Nancy's or a corporate sponsored event.
This year I have registered for TWO events so far
Seasonal Expressions Launch 2 (in Vancouver, this is a bit of an expense for a 3 hour training course, however, my daughter is at UVic, so it's an excuse to leave the prairies and visit her)

AND .....Convention.  This year to be held in Salt Lake City
And this year my daughter will be accompanying me as a consultant.
Can't wait.
Convention is filled with learning and doing and sharing and FREE stuff
and deals and laughter and food yeah, I love it.
The Best part of Convention (well actually, there are a ton of best parts) but the most anticipated is the New Idea Book Reveal, every single attendee gets ONE to drool over as they silently or not so silently turn the pages and see what Jeanette has in store for us this year.
I have never been disappointed.  Well, sometimes I'm disappointed because some of my favorite items are retired, but if it always stayed the same....who would want it?  I miss Studio J, but really, I like creating, so I'm not that disappointed.

Okay, enough rambling

Here's a few pic's from the last convention I attended.  If you would like to attend, you need to be a consultant.  You can join my team, by clicking HERE

100!!!

I try and check in (on my side of this blog) daily.  Just to see what's new.  Do I have a viewer from Ireland, has my Canadian audience finally caught up to my American friends, is anyone looking at my work.  So I was pleasantly surprised to see that my list of followers has reached that magical number 100.

I just want to say Thank You!!

CTMH's new color palette

Okay, I know this is kinda cheating, but Christine says it so much better than I could.  (of course she did practice, before she got it just right)
However...I am excited to unveil our new markers---great for blending (they might not be copics, but at $5.95 for a set of 2{base & shade} they are very affordable and still get the job done)  I have not had the opportunity to play with our pigment inks, but I've heard good reviews from fellow consultants.

On the road again....

Ever get one of those songs stuck in your head.  One of those songs that just won't go away??
Well this is mine for today, so I thought I should share it.
Now, it may be stuck there because I am going "on the road again" to visit my friend in Kelowna
and will be stoppin' by to visit a fellow consultant, Joanne Jay (click here to check out her blog)

10,000 and counting

Well, almost.
I started this blog ages ago, and sporatically posted posts. (say that ten times fast)
I got discouraged, seeing almost no activity on my visitor counter.
But then,
I woke up and started posting more often
and posting more "stuff"
and now I am close to 10,000 visitors.
I am amazed and thankful that you have chosen to visit my site.
And I hope you continue to visit
and leave comments.
Thank you.

thank YOU!!

Sometime in life, we forget to say "thank you". Two little words, that mean so much. I would like to take this time to
Thank YOU,
for viewing my blog & leaving comments,
that is what inspires me to create more.
So, thank you.
P.S.
I have a few things in the works, that should be posted in the next few days.

Creative ideas--got none, again

Every once in a while I think the merry-go-round is going just a tad too fast for me, and I end up doing ...nothing.
Can't scrap,
can't clean (although, I can usually find reasons to dogde this anytime)
can't read
can't seem to focus on anything...
anyone else get these moments??

Weekend to End Women's Cancer

This past weekend I was at a craft retreat.  46 women attended this event and brought whatever craft they wanted to work on.  Each lucky lady had an eight foot table all to herself.  Meals were included, plus door prizes, plus a silent auction, plus a bake sale & tea on Saturday afternoon (this was open to the public and many came to admire the crafts on display)

From March 4, 2012

From March 4, 2012

This event is very dear to my heart
for a number of reasons
1.  It's a great cause
2.  It's a great way to accomplish a lot of projects
3.  You make new friends
4.  You can bring your sleeping bag & sleep on the stage
5.  It is held in the hall that my husband & I helped build.

This year made it more bitter sweet.
I completed my tower flag album of Brian's Spray Park
and one of the girls who organizes the weekend,
lost her husband to cancer the day before.
Many of the crafter their were sisters and friends of Brenda
and they were going to cancel the weekend
but at Brenda's request they went ahead with the event
and raised over $8,500 for women's cancer research

From March 4, 2012

I can't wait till next year
I have already booked a spot for my daughter and me
In fact, most of the spots are already booked.
However, if you are interested in attending,
leave me a comment and I will forward you more information
The cost for the weekend is $150 ($75 is a charitable donation)

From March 4, 2012

One final picture before I go
and a plea to all you paper crafters
Please!!!!! Consider joining us next year.
The quilters out numbered us 3 to 1.

Creative ideas--got none?

Just what to let you know what  I do when I hit that wall.
I cruise other blogs and youtube videos and my followers.
Some of my favorites blogs I follow (you can access these from my "blog list")
Following has some great benifits.
1.  you don't have to search for the blog
2.  you can set it so you are automatically notified when they update their blog.
3. it's fun--fun to see what they are creating

Do you follow any blogs??

I am almost at 5000
And I have oddles of new posts
just waiting for me to create.
Can't wait to see what the year 2012
has in store for all of us....

Well, I finally figured out how to Pin It! And I love it. This could become very addictive, browsing blogs, collecting pins. I just have to remember that I need to create some of my own for others to enjoy...hmmm maybe later tonight I might see what pin has inspired me.

Well it's time

....time to grab a quick shower and meet up with some crafty ladies in my garage for 12 hours of creating.
