So, in part 1, I showed you how to create your basic inserts

for your life book.

Today, I'm going to help you do some math.

you get everything below, enough stuff to do at least 12 weeks of "life" pages 

 Now you can dig into your stash of stamps & pretty up the Journaling Cards
or you can just add a sticker to them, or leave them plain.
The choice is yours.

I do have to confess
that I did pull 1 piece of Cocoa Cardstock out from my stash to make the "life box"
and I added one 12x12 page protector (you can mix & match with this book) for my first page.

One more thing,

I made 72 page inserts out of 1/2 a dotty paper pack

and 24 journaling jots (I just made this term up) out of 4 sheets of Cardstock

I used up some of the rest of the dotty paper pack

on the life box, and the cover page,

but I still have lots left.

project life--CTMH style--#2

One thing to remember about "project life" is it's all about YOU

You don't HAVE to take a picture a day,

You decide how devoted you want to be

...maybe you will do 1 page (1/2 layout) every week

or just record

**one idea,

**one thought

**one picture a day/per pocket

Remember....

...if you are going to do this "for life" how much "stuff" do you want to have to keep?
The whole concept behind this is to make it easy to keep up

You could even cheat more by buying 4x6 recipe cards

and use these to journal on.

Keep them handy,
"by your favorite chair"
and then at the end of the day

you can "journal" stash this back in your life box (our little recipe box--nicely decorated)
until you're ready to assemble your life book

Wait! Stop! You don't have a nicely decorated box?

Well then let me show you how I made mine

and now the directions (drum roll please)

 then adhere the second patterned piece onto the cardstock

the patterned paper will extend past the end of the cardstock

and that's OK. 

Okay, here's where I am going to let you in on a little

hind sight.

I stamped my box after I had glued the strip on.

It would have been a whole lot easier to do it first.

this is the top of the box

I wrapped the "film" down around the sides of the box

(see first couple of pictures)

the final thing I did was to stamp

"instant memories" on the colonial white shape

and then mat it on cocoa and then on lagoon

Stamp set used.....is retired (picture perfect)

but C1440 --"take a picture"

 would work  just as nicely

I kept hearing this, but wasn't sure what it was.

(Thankfully, you can find anything on the web)

And this is what I found.

It was coined by Becky Higgins (click on her name to go to her site)

and is scrapbooking/photo book/journal/smash book

-- simplified all in one kinda system.

Sound confusing? 

 Well, I was confused,
until I realized that this has been here before,
but Becky just updated it.

Of course it's quicker if you buy Becky's

But more personal if you do it my way.

Supplies
Dotty for You Paper Pack
(actually, you could use any CTMH paper pack,  they are all co-ordinating)
Colonial White Cardstock
paper trimmer
corner rounder
stamps & or stickers of your choice
memory protectors--photo storage pages
(Z1324--vertical & 4113--horizontal)
Recipe Box Z1322
Work-in-Progress Album (Z1348)

Save time...stack 3 paper and cut them all at once

 At this stage of the game I cut a sheet of white cardstock
into 4x6 pieces, and then cut some of them into 2x6 & 3x4 pieces
stamped some words & journaling lines on them
rounded the corners, and I'm done

Now, store them in our recipe box
until you're ready to work on your "project life"

So, if I had picture developed I would pop them in a couple of spots
pick out some paper accents,
maybe add a sticker and some journaling
pop them into our photo storage pages
and
Voila!!
