Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Janet's Blog or you can stay for awhile and I will walk you through a quick tutorial
I used Close to my Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut a perfect fit.
(p. 53 size--fit to page--using a 12x12 mat) Then I traced the opening and cut it out.
I added a black mat to the inside (which is why I used black ink around the edges)
This is a quick tip, ink the inside edges of your bracket in the same color
as the paper you will be covering it with.
I used Close to my Heart's Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut a perfect fit.
(p. 53 size--fit to page--using a 12x12 mat) Then I traced the opening and cut it out.
I added a black mat to the inside (which is why I used black ink around the edges)
you can see how I attached the mat to the back side of the paper, leaving only a 1/4 showing from the front. (see below)
The zip strip is located on the edge of your 12 x 12 piece of paper
one side is decorative and the other has the product info on it.
I matted the 8 12" long zip strip on black cardstock
I added more dimension
by using one of the Chantilly Assortment fabric buttons
for the center of the flower
And a final look at the finished project

ReplyDeleteSo so pretty! I like how you inset the page layout, so it looks a little bit like a shadow box - nice dimension!

ReplyDeleteVery nice! What a lovely addition for your daughter's room.
ReplyDeleteYour creation is my favorite so far on the blog hop. I can see myself making a version of this. I am mostly a card maker. Last September when I was visiting friends in Trochu we stopped in at the General Store and I bought 3 older stamp sets from your table. All florals. Was hoping I would meet you.
ReplyDeleteLee, I would love to meet you. If you are in the area again, please phone me my number is in the book and the girls at the General Store all know who I am.
ReplyDeleteStunningly beautiful!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tutorial, now I may get inspired to create one of these. Love the simplicity of your frame for your daughters room.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea. Thanks for the tip about inking the inside!
